The fourth book i read in June is "Breaking Dawn"by Stephenie Meyer. It is the fourth novel in the Twilight series. It maybe hard for "non-Twilight readers" to understand this review as it is a sequel. "Breaking Dawn" is the only book , of the 4 books, which is not comletely told from Isabella Swan's view. The book can be "divided" into 3 parts, 1st part and 3rd by Bella, 2nd part by Jacob. A brief summary of the book :
The first part of "Breaking Dawn" details Bella's marriage and honeymoon with Edward Cullen. They spend on a private island off the coast of Brazil. That island was an isolated island which Edward's foster father gave to his foster mother, Esme, and the island was name "Esme Island". Edward grants Bella's wish and has sex with her. Not long later, Bella finds out that she is pregnant. Her condition is progressing at an unnaturally accelerated rate. After contacting Carlisle, who confirms her pregnancy, she and Edward immediately return home to Forks. Edward, concerned for Bella's well-being, convinced Bella the fetus is a monster as it continues to develop with unnatural rapidity. He urges her to have an abortion. However, Bella wants to keep the child. She contacts Rosalie for support, knowing that Rosalie has always wanted children but could not bear any as she was a vampire.
The second part of the novel is written from Jacob's perspective. This section lasts throughout Bella's pregnancy and childbirth. The Quileute werewolf pack, not knowing what danger the unborn child may pose, make plans to destroy it, even if they have to kill Bella in the process. Jacob strongly protests this decision and leaves, forming his own pack with Leah and Seth Clearwater. Bella then gives birth, but the baby breaks her body and lots of blood is shed. In order to save her life, Edward changes her into a vampire. Jacob, who was present for the birth, "imprints" on Edward and Bella's newborn daughter, Renesmee. The name came about by combined Bella's "two mothers", Esme and Rene.
The third section of Breaking Dawn changes back to Bella's point of view, finding her changed into a vampire and enjoying her new life and abilities. One day, she, Jacob and Renesmee went out to hunt. A vampire Irina misidentifies Renesmee as an "immortal child". Because "immortal children" are percieved as uncontrollable, creating them has been outlawed by the Volturi. After Irina presents her allegation to the Volturi, they plan to destroy Renesmee and the Cullens. In an attempt to save her, the Cullens gather vampires from around the world to stand as witnesses and prove to the Volturi that Renesmee is not an immortal child. Upon confronting the gathered Cullen allies and witnesses, the Volturi discover that they have been misinformed and immediately execute Irina for her mistake. However, they remain undecided on whether Renesmee should be viewed as a threat to vampires' secret existence. At that time, Alice and Jasper, who had left, return with Nahuel, a 150-year-old vampire-human crossbreed like Renesmee. He shows that crossbreeds pose no threat, and the Volturi leave. Bella, Edward and Renesmee return to their home in peace.
I am one of the millions who enjoy reading this book and do wait to read the next "Twilight series".
