Experience.....

Hey there bloggers,

Blogging gives us a chance to write and improve our usage of english. I personally find blogging fun and interesting as I get to tell people about my daily life. People can also comment on my posts and this will "imitate" a conversation.

Well I love my blog because of a few reasons. Firstly, I can express myself through writing. Secondly, it is a form of relaxation. It helps to process and relax the mind through simple writing. Blogs can be about anything. Sky is the limit. Blogging is also my schoolwork. Instead of writing on paper(I find this very time consuming aand utterly boring), this takes place on a computer which makes it more interesting. It is also environmentally friendly. Save trees!

A fact : This blog is not perfect. I love to see critism and complients based on your interpretation of the post. I think that blogging can be improved by making the comment section appear automatically. That way, it is more convinient for readers to comment.

In a nutshell, blogging is fun!

What do you prefer?

Hi there fellow bloggers,

Every student has to study the subject Literature when they are in Secondary 1 . At that point of time, they are asked to read novels and so on. There are two types of novels. A Normal Novel and a Graphic Novel.

Normal novels is a dread to many students. Normal novels are bulky and are filled wth very small words, thus making it even less appealing to the "book-haters". Normal novels most of the time contain no pictures. The words of a "book-hater" : 'So long! So boring! Aiyah, I don't want to read it anymore.'

Graphic Novels is more popular with students. A lower standard of interpretation is needed. With a lot of pictures and little words, it is able to attract the attention of student for a long time. Who gets bored reading them? I do.

Both novels are created because the author wants to convey a message. Normal novels convey the message through words. Lots and lots of them. Some of these words might be complicated and it is up to the reader to unscramble them to know the definition. This is a reason why people like graphic novels. They do not like to think! Graphic novels use pictures to express meanings. They are often action packed and may be hilarious.

Personally, the winner is : Novels! They are more detailed and help me to improve my standard of english. Literature will be easy in no time!

Yours Sincerely,
Jay

My Reading Habit

Hi there fellow bloggers,

"Reading is life". You might have heard this from your parents in your adolescence. Most students think that reading is very boring. They are wrong.

I must abmit that I used to think books are stupid. I hardly touched books. My parents often "nagged" me to read. I simply did not like reading and refused. One of the reasons was because i did not want to be stereotyped as a bookworm.

As time goes by, we become mature and think more like a young adult. Books are like a collection of knowledge. The first time I became interested in books was when I was in Primary 6. I was reading a book which I was being rewarded with for doing well in school, primary school(I still remembered i wan disappointed). This book was so good that I felt as if I was in it, in another dimension.

Since then, I loved books . Any book. But as time goes by I became very picky. Books that managed to catch my attention had to pass many elimination rounds. To find a good book, i usually asked for a reconmendation by a teacher or the librarian. I also read the newspapers but as usual, I only pick interesting ones. Mostly from their title.

Well, there's the story of how i started reading.
